Taken in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in 2004 these were two dogs that lived across the street from where we were staying (which from this angle could pass for Bosnia, I know, but if you turned around you'd see that this was where the development ended, not the end of the world).

I spent a lot of time reading in the hammock being nudged by these guys, they wanted to play and were well cared for, but I love how this looks like the city was just torn apart and the dogs were the only survivors.
